Card design explained

In Chibi Army of Doom, each character has different abilities that are represented with cards. The cards have a slightly different design for each character. The frame changes thematically, but the background color is also adapted to the respective character. In this example we show you the bear trap by Lydia the huntress.

Card type

There are three different types of cards in Chibi Army of Doom

action cards, each player may only play one per turn. Action cards represent most of the attacks in Chibi Army of Doom and are therefore also the main source of damage.

buff cards, these cards provide permanent bonuses to strengthen the character. Up to three Buff´s can be equipped at the same time.

counter cards, these cards can be played at any time. Mostly to prevent opponents from moving or to protect themselves from harm.

Card type

4 counter

rarity

This diamond indicates how rare the card is and how often it can appear in the deck accordingly.

 

Common dia

common, these cards can be played as often as you like. All white cards are shuffled back into the deck after use, so you always have cards in the deck.

uncommon

ungewöhnlich, up to 5 copies of an unusual card can be played in your deck. These cards represent the standard abilities.

rare

Rare, these cards represent strong abilities, so that they cannot be used indefinitely, their use is limited to 2 copies of each card.

epic

Epic, it is the character's strongest card. Epic cards, when played correctly, can make the difference. Since epic cards have such an impact, there can only be one of them in the deck.

* Note, because the rarity classification led to misunderstandings. All cards are included in the game, there will be no boosters or similar systems.

5 counter

Reach

This value indicates at what distance you can hit enemies with it. Where 0 hits only in melee and an endless sign does not apply to any limitation of range.

6 counter

Card type

What kind of card is it? Many effects are related to traits. For example fire or ice attacks. In this case it is a trap.

7 counter

card number

All cards are numbered and have an abbreviation, which stands for the respective character.

Card text

The most important part of every card.

9 counter

Quote

What the character is saying or thinking at the moment. (Additional Rule: Players must always say the quote out loud when playing a card or the effect will not apply)

Artists

Who created the artwork. Please keep this in mind when playing the game and the Artworks likes to visit the artists' social media platforms to follow them.
